CHIPPING SODBURY TOWN U18 2 SALTFORD STARS U18 0 This was a very close game by two evenly matched teams. Many opportunities were created to score but they came to nothing as final passes went astray and last minute tackles denied the attacking forward the time to get his shot away and when he did get sight of goal the shot was wayward or too close to the keeper, who was able to make a comfortable save. The only attacked in the first half that produced a goal came from Chipping Sodbury when Charlie Davis found the net to give his team a 1-0 advantage at the interval. The second half followed the same pattern as the first with the only goal of the half coming mid way through when a needless penalty was given away by a Saltford player on the edge of the box when there was no danger. Harvey Woodruff stepped to the spot and scored. This changed nothing and the game played out with much energy but little hope of further goals. Report - Ken Howitt |
