Our Recent two-week break from playing has, in some ways, done the lads a few favours.
We had been picking up injuries to vital players and this may have given them valuable healing time without missing games.
Kevin May, Paul Savage, Mark Dunn, Sam Winkworth, Martin Panetta, Steve Woolfe and of course long term injury victim Tim Lawler, have all had knocks, pulls and strains that only time will heal. Hopefully now they will be raring to go come today's game with Iron Acton Reserves.
It was also good for ALL the Reserves to have the chance to watch the 1st team play. We had the pleasure of seeing them beak AEK 3-2 with the winner being scored by none other than Tom Clarke, who scored the winner in our last game with Robins Rangers, also by the same score line. So a big pat on the back for Tommo !
Congratulations to Les and Jeff and all the first team, whom we all thought showed great character in keeping positive in that game, well done.
Our Season has almost reached the halfway point and i can assure everybody that at least two more players will be joining us to help give us a bit of a push to get up into promotion places. I believe we definitely have it in us to get out of Division 3, it just depends on how much collectively the team want it. Keep on believing in ourselves and i see no reason why we can't end the season on a high.
Keep it going lads.
