Welcome Back to all Reserve team players, who for one reason or another have had no game now for over a month.
Its definitely in at the deep end on our return to action today, away to top of the table "Mendip Utd". It will be a real test for us but i am sure if we put the effort in we will give a good account of ourselves.
We've nothing to fear and the team will go into the match full of positivism, having nicked a point from them earlier in the season.
There is a mini keeper-crisis today and my thanks go out to "Tatter" who has volunteered to stand between the posts today, join me in wishing him good luck.
Our games before Christmas included a 2-1 away win over Frampton. It was a hard fought game in which both our Strikers, Richie Pomphrey and Ryan Clancey scored and could well have had more if their luck had been in.
The side generally was excellent. Kev, Lee and Savo all stuck to their tasks at the back and the midfield all worked exceptionally hard. With the pick of them being Martin Panetta, who really stamped his authority on the game in the closing stages, when it was needed most.
Lets hope we can pick up from where we left off and see the New Year in with equally good performances.
