CHIPPING SODBURY TOWN U18 10 ST.NICHOLAS U18 1 This local derby was the last game of the season for Chipping Sodbury and they needed a victory to keep their hopes alive of winning the Division. This they did as they showed no mercy to a St Nicholas side who were no match for them as they notched up 8 second half goals to add to the 2 already scored in the first half. St Nicholas opened the scoring, against the run of play, with a great goal from Jamie Watts. This was a wakeup call to Sodbury that St Nicholas were not going to be an easy ride especially with Kane Hatherall in the St Nicholas goal pulling off several good saves to keep Sodbury at bay. Finally it took a well placed pass from Tyler Dacres to Kacy Brown to find the equaliser that Sodbury’s play deserved. Sodbury then doubled their score just before half time with a Charlie Davis goal. 2-1 half time. It would appear that the late score in the first half took its toll on St Nicholas as in the second half they unable to put up the same type of resistance as they showed in the first half to the Sodbury pressure. This dominance resulted in 3 goals for Kacy Brown and goals from Tyler Dacres, Charlie Davis, Indie Newman, and Kieron Hackers. Jack Dando, the Sodbury keeper played in the outfield for the last 10 minutes of the game and scored his 1st goal for Sodbury to finish off the second half goal rout. 10-1 full time.
