Chipping Sodbury look the part after promotion

Picture
Chipping Sodbury Town’s first team continue to prosper in the Toolstation league.  Manager Karl Reese and his Sodbury team have taken to Toolstation football like a duck to water since their promotion from the Glos County League.
6 wins from last 7 games took them to top spot for the first time in their history and they were awarded team of the month by the Toolstation league. Crowds have been increasing for home games and are averaging between 80 and 120 for most matches.
November wins included 1-0 v Wellington, 2-1 v Almondsbury, 4-2 v Westbury, 2-1 v Devizes and most notably, two important wins against title challengers.  That was the 3-2 win away at Chard and a 4-2 win at home v Corsham who have been top of the league for most of the season.

Manager Karl Reese is full of admiration for what his players have achieved so far and with a couple of new signings just joined from a higher level he says is quietly confident there could be a lot more to come for his ever improving side saying; “We are learning and developing with every game, we are becoming more streetwise with every game in what is a very tough and competitive league, and teams are frightened  of our attacking threat and pace we possess in the team”.
“We are playing good football and new players are coming to me and [coach] Gary Powell every week interested in joining us because of the way this club is progressing and what we are achieving. We are in a fantastic position at the half way stage but we are not getting carried away, we need to keep our feet on the ground take one game at a time and see where it takes us”.
